Pollard recovers from eye-injury, should play CLT20

Pollard went sprawling down and it took him some minutes before he was able to walk off the field. By then, his eye had swollen dramatically and it seemed like the player would have been out of action for some time. Pollard was batting on 22 at that stage, and his absence was probably the cause of the difference of a few runs and hence the side lost the trophy. Pollard was taken to the hospital for some scans, which revealed nothing serious
According to Colin Borde, the Trinidad and Tobago manager – Pollard’s home team – Pollard was doing fine and no fracture or damage to the retina was discovered.
The manager also confirmed that Pollard was soon going to fly down to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 Indians to play in the Champions League T20. Pollard also confirmed that the recovery had progressed well thus far, but he also added that he would like to wait till the swelling subsided.
Pollard was one of the key players for the Mumbai Indians in their first ever finals’ appearance in the IPL this year. He was bought over the auctions for a sum of $750,000, and despite a slow start to the tournament, made his mark towards the end of the tournament.
Pollard is a lower middle-order batsman who can smack the ball a long way and was the star for the Trinidad and Tobago side in the previous edition of the Champions League T20. He can also bowl medium-pace bowling, which batsmen have found difficult to get over.
