Pollution...?

Question

Does anyone know what the worst type of pollution (air, water, land, noise) is in the U.S. right now? OR does anyone know any newspapers or statistical sources that are about air pollution (And are somewhat current)? Any info (what pollution is, where is comes from, what its effects are, or ways to prevent it) or any sources that deal with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Land pollution, strip mining of coal is literally tearing down the Appalachian mountains and excavating huge tracks of land in the mid west.
