Polo charity match in Abu Dhabi
A great family polo day has been concluded with lot of fun, entertainment and delectation at Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club, adjacent to Abu Dhabi, State of United Arab Emirates (UAE). A charity match was organised between the Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC)
team and Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) by Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club in joint venture with Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) to help the Al-Ain (Pvt.) Centre for Special Care and Rehabilitation.
The special polo day was organised under the flag of Chairman of the Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club, Sheikh Falah Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, where people from all walks of life were invited. More than 1000 people including students, teachers, journalists and polo
lovers watched the match.
David Bernal of ADAC displayed a mature game and made the victory possible for his foursome by scoring four goals out of total nine. ADAC overpowered the TDIC team by 9-8 after a hard competition.
Later on Sheikh Zayed Bin Saeed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan presented a check to Al-Ain-Private Centre wishing it best future and progress. Sultan Karmostaji of Higher Colleges of Technology and Mohammed A. Al-Katheeri of ADAC along with other members and officials
participated in the event.
A Student of Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) and player of the Ghantoot side, Ahmed Mohammed Bin Desmal talking to the media said, “I'm delighted to see so many young families visiting here. The Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club is such a special venue, and
many of my students' friends had never experienced polo before. I hope they will continue to visit our future polo events. It was also great to see the Al-Ain Centre students enjoy the day with us.”
Director General of Al-Ain (Pvt) Centre for Professional Care and Rehabilitation, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sayed at the occasion stated, “Our students have had such a wonderful day and we would once again like to thank Sheikh Falah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. We feel blessed
for having the support from both Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club and HCT.”
