WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) Premier event held in Charleston, United States.
The high-spirited Slovene showed her class at the Family Circle Tennis Center and stomped over Date-Krumm in their second meeting. After earning this one hour and 27 minute success, Hercog not only avenged her loss at the Fed Cup earlier this circuit but
also levelled the head-to-head series by 1-1 against the Japanese.
38th ranked Hercog stormed into this clay court event and leaped to a 3-0 lead after drawing the first blood in the second game. She remained focused after that and despite losing her serve in the ninth game, the Slovene capitalised on another
break chance to seal the opener with a 6-4 win.

with a 6-3 success.
