  1. i'm not sure if they are real. i believe personally that ghosts are real but im not sure about poltergiest.

There meant to move objects around the house and smash things. Also when your in the room with them the lights apparently go on and off and it all goes cold and you know somethings in the room with you, you can just sense it. sometimes there is an unpleasant smell as well.

  2. In a scientific view of things, a poltergeist needs a whole lot of energy just to manifest itself.  So for it to move around ****, it sure is a strong lil bugger.  They feed off of energy, mostly people's energy.  For example, if you broke up with your significant other and had a huge fight, all that energy that comes from your emotions is a form of fuel for it.  (think of the dementors in harry potter)  However, if you were to blast your stereo for 10 hours, that would be an energy overload and would s***w up the energy patterns in your home, forcing the poltergeist to become confused.  I don't think poltergeists are very friendly and I wouldn't welcome any of that kind of attention.  I honestly think that though it is scientific, it is also demonic.

  3. If they're real they've never provided any evidence.  Many researchers have tried to imply that poltergeists are always around troubled youngsters, as if the phenomenon is a manifestation of their mental torment.  More than one child has been caught or admitted to performing these acts themselves.

  4. If they take something ask them to put it back usally they will. Or you will find it somewhere else later.

  5. Believing in poltergeists is akin to believing in leprechauns. Both are supposedly mischievous spirits and neither are real. While there are reports of poltergeist activity floating around, when it comes time to obtain hard evidence of such activity, the poltergeists always mysteriously disappear.

  6. Poltergeist move and usually break objects. This can take place in any location but most reports involve activity inside houses, a few have been reported in business settings.

Poltergeist activity is certainly real. Most parapsychologist do not believe that such activity is caused by a "noisy ghost" which is the English translation of the German word.

The current theory is called Recurrent Spontaneous Psychokinesis (RSPK) and has been linked with unexpressed emotional conflict of an individual. Poltergeist activity usually occurs when one person (the agent) is present.

This is associated with teenagers because many have unresolved emotional conflict but the majority of reported cases are not teenagers. Family therapy often stops poltergeist activity although such activity is usually short lived (30 -60 days) anyway.

The association came from the early psychical researcher Frank Podmore who said all the cases he investigated could be attributed to tricky little boys and girls.

Two excellent books on poltergeist activity are listed below.

    Michael John Weaver, M.S.

  7. Poltergeists have many definitions and many different things are believed about them.

Poltergeist comes from Germany and is translated as "noisy ghost"  One theory behind them is they are ghosts that have the capability of moving objects around the location they haunt.  They can make noises and bangs, knockings, rapping on walls, etc.  They are also known to make unpleasant smells.

Some people believe they are harmfuld spirits who will escalate to violent behaviors.

Others believe that poltergeists are just ghosts trying to get your attention.

Some also believe they are not ghosts at all but telekinetic powers projected by the minds of humans.  Not necessarily prepubescent children but the majority of reports do center around them.

  8. Poltergeist, meaning "noisy ghost" is distiguished from the ordinary household ghost by the fact that it moves things can makes a lot of noise. It knocks stuff off shelves, throws things across rooms, slams doors and cupboards closed, etc.

    They are not real.

The majority are caused by pressure changes in rooms making doors slam closed, temperature changes making wood expand or contract, vibrations caused by trucks, planes and small earthquakes that humans can't feel, etc.

Don't underestimate the power of hoaxes. There are several famous cases of poltergeists that ended up being hoaxes played by attention craving children.

  9. Paranormal, poltergeist activity, seem to occur around pubescent girl children. If I remember correctly , poltergeist  derives from a German word meaning 'noisy ghost'. It's actual cause has ben debated many times.

  10. No they are not real.In a ghostly sense, anyway. They do things around children. That's because it's them pulling a prank.Believing in ghosts of any kind is silly and childish.I hope you don't fall into that trap.
