Right, well. My mum is plastering the skirting board to keep these woodlice out, and she used the last of the polyfiller mix to mix some plaster, problem is, she put too much water in it.

Any quick suggestions on how to thicken it up?

Microwave it? :P

  1. add a little sand or pour off the excess water and wait for it to start to dry then quickly fill


  2. If no filler to hand then yes, as person above said, fine sand will work.  Failing that, cornflour or regular flour will dry it out a bit or leave it for about 10mins as sometimes it can just thicken a bit more if left out in the open for a short time.

  3. wait a while it will thicken as it slowly dries,dont leave to long or it will harden
