Polynesian shark protection tattoo?

Can anyone either describe in detail or provide me with a picture of what a traditional polynesian shark protection tattoo looks like? All I have been able to find out is that it is a "row of dots around the ankle." Sounds simple enough, but I would like more info/detail. Thanks!
