Suppose the function f(x) has 16 distinct zeros whose sum is 23, find the sum of the zeros of the function f(3x − 4).

  1. if x1, x2, ..., x16 are the zeros of f(x) then [4/3]x1, [4/3]x2, ...,[4/3]x16 are the zeroes of f(3x-4)

    Given that x1+x2+...+x16=23

    on multiplying 4/3 on both sides

    [4/3]x1 + [4/3]x2 + ....+ [4/3]x16= 92/3

    Hence, the answer is 92/3
