Polyurethane Drying "Cloudy"?

I stained some pine moulding and then applied a coat of Polyurethane. I am having an issue with some of the boards because when it dries it is leaving a white-ish cloud over the stain. Any idea why this is happening? Can I salvage them and if so how?

  1. Stain was still damp when you applied the poly.

    TBH I'm not sure if it will clear up.  A pro wood finisher will know.


  2. Did you stir it well?  Did you shake it?
