I have an uneven concrete floor in my bathroom. I would like to use the leveler to even the floor but I don't want to then tile. Instead I would like to put a thin coat of polyurethane. Can this be done?

  1. If you use a thin level of polyurethane on your floor, it isn't going to level it any more that it is already.  You might have to use more polyurethane in lower spots and less in higher spots, but it can be done.

  2. I did this in my basement. It worked well. Go for it.

  3. Well, it depends how much area you are talking about, and how unlevel the floor is. If it's a relatively small area, but very unlevel, I would really suggest using a self-leveling cement. If you are planning to tile over the floor and it's not leveled correctly, the grout and tiles will begin to crack.
