Hi folks, i'm persian. As you know Pomegranate is a superfruit, native to iran. I'm a sucker for its products. We have zillions of them from March to May but we have them all over the year. I would kill myself if i don't drink its juice for a week LOL! There are some Pomegranate stores here that sell Pomegranate ICE CREAME (Yummy), daiquiris, and some stuff that i can't seem to translate to english which all are so freakin' delicious. They provide the juice, then they boil it till it's not watery anymore, then they put it under the sun for a couple of days and then it gets kinda dry but amazing and tastes wonderful. So do u have ice creame or that stuff i told u about, i US? If so do u like it? What's its name? Thanks for your time.

  1. We do. Although the products are very expensive in the US.

We have products like POM 100% juice, mixed juice, frozen juice mixes, fruit ice pops, ice cream, the actual fruit and more.

I love them and its called the Pomegranate here

  2. its lush

  3. Pomegranates don't seem to be as popular in the US. You can buy pomegranate juice and the fruit in some stores.

I have drank the juice and eaten the fruit but that was 3 or 4 years ago.

I Googled  some recipes on the Internet that use pomegranates.

You have made me want to try some of this and the Ice Cream really does sound good!

  4. Well, here in US, we have pomegranates, juices, and some ice creams too, but thats all i have ever seen before, but im pretty sure they have it here, just never seen it

  5. They have pomegranates in grocery stores and the juice but I don't think I've ever seen the ice cream.

  6. We certainly have pomegranates, and yes they are wonderful!

We have pomegranate juice and pomegranate syrup.  There are even pomegranate liquors.  Though I've never seen a pomegranate sugar (that's what I'll call the stuff left in the sun referenced above) or pomegranate ice cream.  I'm not saying there don't' exist in America, but they're not commercially available.

Now that you mention it though, I think I'll make my own pomegranate ice cream!

  7. not that i know of, but i could be wrong. we do have pomogranate perfume, lotion, and shampoo though.

  8. Here in the US pomegranates have been around for as long as I can remember.  I used to walk down the street when I went to my Granny's house and pick some from a bush.  They are very yummy.  I also used to buy them at the grocery store when I saw them but that wasn't very often.  Amazingly enough over the past couple of years we have had a pomegranate craze.  It's being sold as juice and mixed with green tea.  They have a pomegranate martini that is supposed to be out of this world but I've never tried it.  I haven't heard of ice cream yet but it wouldn't surprise me.  The nutritional value and antioxidants are evidently a great asset as well.  I just love them and thanks for the information, it was very interesting.

  9. Somtime the stuff is bitter, but we have lots of pomegranite products

POM juice, juice blends, dried, even slushies with it.

  10. I live in Argentina and I have never seen it in the stores. Here it's called 'granada'. I think I have tried it some time when I traveled to Chile. They have it there, but it isn't very popular either.
