We have a pomeranian thats around 8 yrs old and we have had him for like 4 years. Every time we bring something new into the house he pees on it or around it. Like when i bought a new scanner he peed on the box. He also peed on our son's xbox days later after we brought it home. He has also gotten on top our son's bed and has peed on the covers. He is trained to go outside. We were told he is neutered. My question is why does he do this?

  1. pomeranians are verry teritorial and insecure myn does this all the time and it bothers me alot

  2. You should be able to tell whether or not he is neutered...

It is submissive peeing, and it happens because he is insecure/submissive or excited.  I don't really know how to stop him from doing it, other than keeping things off of the floor and away from any place that he can pee on it.  Here is a link that might be more helpful.

  3. does he appear to have t******e's? this sounds yucky but you need to check if he has a s*****m. if he does he has not been desexed.
