Question:

Pontiac Grand Prix Rear passenger window...?

I have a four door sixth generation Pontiac Grand Prix, the rear passenger window freely moves up and down with a simple touch of the hand, it doesn't take any real effort to move it up or down with nothing more than my hand.. It appears to still be in it's track but will not roll up or down with the power window system.. It slips down when i just drive down the road and much like today when I was inside of a building it simply slipped down during the day and rained inside of it.. The person I took it to didn't speak very much English so the only thing I understood from him was $600!! I am in no way able to spend this type of money. Any ideas as to what the problem is, and if so what can I do about it? (I actually want to fix it not just glue the thing shut)

  1. dude go to zzperformance.com or 3800performance.com and they should have the unit that or ebay has it for sure get the motor and the guide. if you can hear the motor go when you press the button then you just need the guide its not to hard to replace with some basic tools like a 10mm and a torx screwdriver, you can do it. save some money in the process. autoanything has a lot of stuff to. check it out. i had to replace the one on my grand prix and it was simple, also those two web sites have tech articles and stuff so you can get som performace mods to if you want i got the gmpp handling kit and put it on myself now it handles great. good luck.
