the frank worell series between aus and WI, where west indies havent won the series since 1992...

ponting has equalled lara, and needs1 more CENTURY to equal gavaskar...

he will then be 2nd only to SACHIN!

  2. In your dreams he will be as good as Tendulkar.Sure he may average 58 but he is nothing compared to Tendulkar,Lara and even Inzamam.

    Ponting is very good batter but he is not in the same calibre as Tendulkar,Lara,Gavaskar etc.

    He trains well I guess but he may not have the same natural flair as some other batsmen.Plus he scored his runs in the 2000s.90's were way harder and he only averaged around 42 till 2001.

  3. The next Tendulkar? lol, he may not have as many runs(YET) but he is streets ahead of Sachin in world ranking. Do you ever look up the ranking table? It might do you good to check it out now & again.

  5. lol, ponting is far behind lara, let alone sachin in terms of flair and quality. batting has become a lot easier since 2002 and onwards, and sachin started on difficult pitches in 1989. Plus to me ricky ponting looks very rigid when hes batting, and he isnt a very good player of off spin either. sachin is the master for a reason

  7. While Ricky Ponting may be able to break the record of Sachin Tendulkar as far as test centuries are concerned, he will never able to break other records of Sachin Tendulkar such as ODI centuries, total runs scored etc.

    By the way, Ponting is over 33 yearsz of age and not 32 years.

  10. ponting n tendulkar????????there r no comparisons. ponting might hv good records but he cannot be as great as tendulkar.sachin has such a great personality which commands respect on the other hand everyone knows how ponting is n even if he breaks his record of most test centuries, he can nvr break his record of most runs n centuries in ODIs.
