The Swedish national can’t wait to play the UEFA Champions League clash against Real Madrid and shared his views on the difficult Russian Premier League.
CSKA Moscow have completed the signing of Pontus Wernbloom from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AZ-c38571 Alkmaar. The Swedish national has penned a four-year deal with the Russian outfit.
Pontus Wernbloom has revealed his delight upon signing for a top Russian club and expressed desire to play the UEFA Champions League encounter against Real Madrid.
“Yes, I am now - a player of this club. A few complementary papers are not signed yet, but that would not be any problem.” The Supercupen winner was quoted as saying.
Wernbloom revealed that he failed to resist the tempting invitation from the Russian outfit, that involved the possibility of playing against the Spanish giants.
He urged his new teammates to gear up for the European challenge and said:
“We have nothing to lose against Real. We have a bunch of experienced players who are waiting for a win.
The 25-year-old went on to reveal his love for his former club and admitted that he has a special place for Alkmaar fans in his heart.
“It was very difficult for me to leave Alkmaar, mainly because of their good league position and the attachment with the Dutch outfit. It was impossible to refuse a club belonging to the Round-of-16. It’s a huge step forward in
my career.” The former IFK Goteborg player said.
Speaking on his new teammates, the 25-year-old said: “I am getting used to the way of CSKA play, and they, in turn, are getting used to me. Everyone has their own strengths.”

The Armeytsy general director, Roman Babaev, had earlier admitted that the Moscow-based club could sign a midfielder, a striker and a defender during this transfer window.
