Pony Cars????????

Has anyone heard if nascar is going to run the pony cars next year

I don't think Toyota wanted a solara in the same race with mustangs, camaros and challengers because it would look silly among real V8 american iron.

I heard a rumor of them running in the Nationwide Series when they go to the Car of Tomorrow but I think it is just that, a rumor.

It was a rumor but I haven't heard anything in a while. That would be awesome though.



BTW beth, Toyota is supposedly dropping the Solara in '09. They may as well run the Corrola. The Camry against a Hemi Charger R/T and an Impala Super Sport is already silly enough.

The idea is still in discussion but nothing  has come out  as to using them any time soon.

The sponsors and owners are having problems about the idea so NASCAR will table it until it is forgotten.
