  4. I took my D-1 through D-3 last December (weird I know, but I joined really late). The were not a problem. For the most part thay are no-fail. If you study, take direction and try, you will pass. My only tip is what saved me: If your rating person suggests/tells you to do something then try it. I was told (in the D-3 portion) that my leg was to far in front of me and to fix it. I tried to move it back and hold it there and I got to standard. Just read over your test and make sure you know everything (or are at least familiar with it, I also did not know how to 'properly' load a horse) GOOD LUCK!!

  5. It's fairly easy, you just have to do some basic stuff like get on and off your pony safely, identify your pony's body parts (nothing too complicated!), know how to hold the reins... My 7yr old stepdaughter passed no problems - and my 4yr old is only struggling on the part where you have to get on and off by yourself!

If your instructor says you're ready for it - don't worry about it! I have never ever known anyone fail their D  :)

  6. ive done tht D test and its very simple, i go to pony club once a week and i didnt do any extra revision and i passed. all i had to do was:

say the colour of my horse

name basic parts of the tack

lead the horse and turn him around

    walk and trot

    20m circle

about 5 basic parts of the horse

    im sure you'll pass :-)
