  1. you could like help around the stable get a job there make some money.

  2. i dunno where you live but there are always yards that need help in England. I uggest you go around looking for work in exchange for riding instead of money. put word about and place an advert in a shop window or something.

  3. Right, I'm guessing you can't have a horse of your own, so why not try sharing? Seen as you're a pretty good rider, you should ask around your local yards (if they have liveries) and see if anyone needs extra help with their horses. For a small contribution each week you could ride and look after a horse for a few days per week.

    I really recommend it x

  4. Nobody NEEDS a pony.  Owning a pony is a luxury.  I grew up horseless because my parents couldn't afford to buy me one.  You should consider yourself lucky that they allow you to take lessons.  My parents couldn't even afford that.  I was finally able to afford my own horses when I was 32 years old!  Maybe you can do what I did.  I finally met a little girl who had her own pony and we spent a lot of time together.  When she out grew her pony her dad bought her a horse so I still got to ride her pony.  We had a great time until she became a teenager and was no longer interested in horses :(  That is when my fun ended.  Oh well, it's all better now because I'm a grown up and own horses of my own.

  5. WOW! If your not advanced enough to work at your stables, thats a problem. Your instructor should know how a little girl feels and how badly she wants something. If I were you I would ask her in person. She will find something (hopefully). If not try your local rescue?

  6. Here's how to not feel silly about asking your instructor again:  ask "what level do I need to be at before I can start to work at the stables?"  If you're lucky, he'll say 3, if he says something else, then you know where you stand and you don't seem like a pest, but someone who is planning for the future.
