Pool, billard, and snooker?

ok, i play the game where you have stripes and spots.

7 stripes

8 spots (including black)

and you have to hit either spots or stripes and in AND the black ball in to win.

what game am i playing?

because when i see snooker on eurosport, its a lot different then what i play at home.

Please don't call them spots those balls are known as solids.  You are playing 8 ball pool.

It is billiards or pool. The game is eight ball. Snooker is a completely different billiard game.
