Pool A teams get ready for the final phase action of league round – Volleyball News
The final leg of Pool A matches of 2012 CEV Men’s European League is scheduled to start on Friday, June 22.
City of Kosice in Slovakia will take the hot seat for the decisive final leg matches from June 22-24, while the hosts Slovakia will be joined by teams from Spain, Denmark, and Israel. Greece is also in Pool A of the European League but the Greek squad has
already completed its 12 matches, last week in Denmark.   Rest of the teams in the group will also complete the series of twelve matches and finally top two teams will advance to the Final Round of 2012 CEV Men’s European League.
Steel Arena KOSICE will host a total of six matches, while each day two games will be covered. Last leg of the European League Preliminaries will be opened with a match between Spain and Israel. Slovaks will get to showcase their skills in front of the home
audience in the second match on Friday. The hosts will take on visiting Danish team.
On the second day, Spaniards will go against Danish team. Likewise, Slovakia will play its second match against Israel. In the final day action, Denmark is scheduled to clash with Israel. On the other hand, home team will put an end to the preliminaries
by taking on Spain on day-3.
Team Slovakia participated in the first three flights of the opening round but remained off the court in the fourth week. Slovaks played a total of nine matches and claimed 5-4 record. In the first week, Slovakia dropped two matches and captured only one
game in the second week. It was indeed blow-the-par performance by Slovakia but the team immensely improved in the third week matches and bagged consecutive three victories.
After playing nine matches, Slovakian men’s national volleyball team returned home and started preparation for the last week matches. The team got one whole week to prepare and to take a good shape for the home matches. Currently, the players of Slovak team
are in top form to display an incredible show of volleyball. Furthermore, the team will be equipped with emotional support of fans. Slovakia is in better position to use the home advantage and to take another set of three matches.
Nevertheless, home squad will have a tough competition with archrival Spain. The Spaniards, who are still without any loss in the tournament after nine matches, have high hopes to finish as the top team in Pool A.
Denmark and Israel do not post a scare on Slovakia but the hosts need to come up with a great plan to overcome Spain.
