Question:

Pool Balls Material?

Well,

We play pool almost every day since we bought the table. We went from Novice players to a little above average. Now, the balls we bought were Sears ones for about 20 bucks. I thought they were all alike but a few days ago, a couple friends invited me to a pool hall so I went. I was a little surprised to see the balls they had, they were a little smaller, shinier, and lighter. And being honest, I think they were plastic. I liked them because you could put more spin on them. Now this is my question, what is the best material and weight. I like spin on them, the ones I have I can't put much back spin, I can put side and top, but when I want it to return, nothing. Thanks!

  1. most r some kind of plastic. very hard and durable. the rock ones r too heavy

  2. size, weight and material of pool balls vary depending on the table and the game they are used for..  If you are going to play the first thing I would invest in is an upgraded cue ball - this make a HUGE difference.

  3. Pool balls are now made from phenolic resin. Aramith Super Pro's and Brunswick Centennial's are regarded as the top sets. But there's definitely different qualities, so just get the best you can afford.

  4. i think some of pool balls are made of marble or some kind of stone
