Question:

Pool Balls turned Yellowish?

by  |  earlier

I have my own Pool table and ofcause also sets of balls.

Table is Metro 2

Balls are Aramith Super Pro.

Balls are relatively new, hardly played and I usually clean it with light dish washing detergent and after drying, polish them with car wax.

But after a few months, it became yellowish.

Anyone knows how to restore them back to white color, like when I first had them?

  1. Waxing is a bad idea, as it leaves a residue on the balls.  This residue then spreads to your cloth and to the tip of your cue.  There are special plastic polishes that your can buy that are specifically designed for pool balls and will wipe off completely.  I'm a big fan of Novus plastic polish #2.  Go to a billiards supply store and they'll probably have a name brand billiard ball polish.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

  2. Its the car wax it will build up and may attack the resin they are made from
