  1. In 8 ball no but read the other answer

  2. In bar pool or coin pool the ball stays down.

in house rules with pockets if the house says spot the ball you do.  if not, you don't.

Rules in Pool Rooms are usually posted on the wall.

  3. In 99 out of every 100 places you play the game of '8' ball... the ball that was pocketed stays down. Mostly League situations because the matches are being played on coin operated bar boxes and the League Rules being played under stipulate that the ball (in the situation you describe) would stay down. Incoming player gets ball-in-hand anywhere on the table.

Possible ways a ball will be placed back on the table:

    1) If the ball is knocked off the playing surface. Then it gets placed on the head spot.

    2) Any ball hanging on the edge of the pocket and falls after several seconds due to gravity, noise, wind, whatever, just falls in... is placed back in the "exact" spot.

    3) A player accidentally pushes or knocks a ball in a pocket with his arm or hand or while leaning over the table for a shot will be replaced in the "exact" spot it was before it went into the pocket.

    4) I have seen a player accidentally knock a ball in the pocket on the back-swing while shooting at another ball. Again, that ball is placed at the "exact" spot before being knocked in the pocket.

None of these four ways are fouls in amateur pool league play.

  4. you lost me at if you dumb **** and wut the h**l is snooker

  5. no the ball stays down

  6. Not if your playing 8 ball

some games that each ball is for points then yes it would

It really depends on the game.
