Can you put chlorine tablets into a brominating tank of a pool?

Nope. Chlorine and Bromine aren't compatible. If you're thinking of switching from a bromine pool to a chlorine pool, you have to dump the water. You can, on the other hand, go from a chlorine pool to a bromine one.

If this is a dispenser you've gotten used, from a pal and your pool is chlorine currently, it's possible to use it as a chlorine dispenser but you'd have to thoroughly clean and rinse it all out.
