it is an overground pool and 5622 gallons of water. The shock treatment said it would clear it up. We used oz of shock for our pool and it didn't work. Also before we put them treatment in we have not been in the pool for a week and it didn't rain at all. How can we prevent and get rid of the foggy water. Beside changing the water.

  1. No but can you tell me the easiest way to fill my snooker?

  2. if your water is cloudy that mean there are particles in it. So that means that your filter is not getting rid of the particles.

First if the water is green and cloudy, you have bacteria or algae. Kill it first.

Then clean out your filter (backwash or change the cartridge), Add some clarify, that will have the particles clump together rand get stuck in the filter, then run your filter full time for the next week.

If you do not see results in 2 days:

    - You may have a hole in your filter, take a look.

    - You have have a different kind of algae, take a sample to your pool store and have the analyze your water for phosphates, if you have them you need a special chemical.

    -luck
