  1. ok you need a good algaecide one that not only prevents alge but kills it...dont put anymore chlorine in it because too much chlorine will put it into chlorine shock and then the test strips will have a messed up reading. run you filter throughly after you put the algaecide in and its not going to clear up over night. if its dark green its going to take a few days...if this happens again try to catch it sooner.

    good luck!

  2. Install a good strong algicide and shock the pool.

Make sure the filter is clean, backwash to have good

    fitration.

  3. Filter shmilter. Yes a filter helps but that is not why your pool is green.

Your pool is green because you didn't kill all the algae at once with the chlorine you bought.  You totally wasted that chlorine.

When you shock your pool b/c it is green, if it does not go milky white within two hours or so, you need to add more chlorine until it does.

Algae reproduces EXTREMELY quickly so if you leave any green in there, you will see twice as much green tomorrow.  And twice as much the day after that.

Also, check the water and see if it needs any dry acid.

  4. Is your filter working?  Water has to have movement to spread the chemicals.
