are you by chance talking about a heater for a carom billiard table?  I know they make heated tables, but to my knowlege they only do electric, and they're not that expensive to run, at least that's what I got from the guy at the pool hall when I asked him about it shortly after they put them in last year.

I think you have the wrong pool forum. This is for pool, as in billiards or snooker and not pool, as in swimming. :)
