Pool Party/Sweet Sixteen Ideas???

Question

I am throwing a sweet sixteen pool party and need some ideas.... my cousin's company is catering like sandwichs and casual foods and there will be a chocolate fountain and a mini bar with virgin drinks. And theres gonna be like tiki torches and stuff but beyond that i don't know what to do???? Should I hire a DJ or just mix a CD and have it playing..... Also maybe a henna tattoo person??? is that cool or should i have other activities?? My budget is $600 and I have a big house sooooo help me out please :)

ok so ya i would get a dj and no henna tatoo artist you could get a dj and a like bar person

Hmm I don't think henna tatoos and swimming are a good combination...  I think I'd skip on that.  It's a fun idea but it wont go well with people who have been swimming or who plan to swim soon.

Actually It sounds like you're over your $600 budget already with catering, chocolate fountains, and a virgin drink bar. A good DJ is going to be more than $600, though I think it would be a nice touch.

I think I would just organize fun pool games, and if you had a dj to run everything that would make it much more stress-free.  Some good pool party games include doing a limbo contest, playing volleyball in the pool and diving for things.

At a resort once they threw cans of coke into the pool and you had to get it out only using your feet... so you had to get your feet wrapped around it, then do a handstand so you could up the coke on the edge of the pool.  Some of the cans had little twist ties around the "pull tab" parts and if your can had that then you won a prize (prizes corresponded to the colors of twisty ties).

Also, how about a watermellon eating contest?

you should get someone to bartend, and don't worry about a D.j making your own mixes on your itunes or something is just as good and doesn't cost anything. But yeah Henna would be dope :]
