  1. If the pool is like 4-5 ft, you won't drown.  You don't have to swim.  You could stand in it.

They are being a bit unreasonable.  Do they know how deep the pool is?

  2. They're being a little unreasonable, but they're just trying to protect you.

I personally don't think that would be a problem, and it's not like you're gonna be swimming during the whole party.

You  could ask them again to go and literally say, "I understand why you don't want me to go, you just care about me and my safety, but the pool is shallow, I can stand up if I need. And if it seems like I will get into trouble, I won't go in, I'll just dunk my feet. Plus, the  whole party isn't centered on swimming, thats only part of it, there will lots of other things that I will miss if I don't go."

Just don't whine when you ask them. Present the facts like an adult.

    Good luck!! Hope I helped.  : ]

  3. At a pool party you don't have to swim, you can just sit around talk with friends and tan. =] plus you can just stand in the water. good luck!!!

  4. You know that you actually dont have to enter the pool in a Pool Party.  You can just sit on the pavement and dip your feet in.  And toss the beachball and have the people get it for you. lol.

  5. U wont drown. It is a little unreasonable. Tell ur parents u wont get in the water but wear ur swim suit under your clothes and change when u get to the pool. Dry off and change again when they come pick u up.

  6. If your parents won't let you go it's probably not a good idea to push the issue. However, if this party is going to be supervised by adults, maybe this could be brought to their attention and they could change their mind. If you can't swim, just don't go in the pool. You can be cool by havin' your trunks on, hangin, out by the pool and talking with friends without putting your life in danger. Just remember to talk to your parents about this issue and let them understand your point of view.best of luck to you. Stay safe.

  7. Yes that is unreasonable. What i would do if i were you get into the shalow end bring a bouncy ball and toss it around in there and no one will know.
