  1. Tiger sniper " Hard" If that dont do it ,It aint the tip

  2. Tips are a very personal preference.  If one was better than another, then everyone would be using them.  For instance, I don't like Moori's.  I've tried two, a hard and a soft, and I didn't like the feel.  I prefer Tiger Snipers or Talismans.  When I first started playing, not too long ago, I played with Lepros or Triangles, but I don't think I'd go back to them.  There's no magic equipment that's going to make you draw or spin the ball better to any significant degree.  It's just what feels good.  The rest is in your stroke.

  3. Moori's are nice tips, but there are plenty of brands out there for much less that are of similar quality. I use Hercules tips, and they have never failed me and are half the price of Moori. A great cuemaker I know puts Sumo tips on all his cues if there customer does not specify something else. The only problem with them are that they do not last as long since they are not layered tips like Moori or Hercules. Do not waste your money on LePro, they suck.

As far as what hardness, it's really about personal preference. Contrary to popular belief, hard (not soft) tips will actually apply more spin to the cue ball. Soft tips absorb more of the power from your stroke and not enable you to apply as much spin. Some people feel that soft tips "grab" the cue ball better, but it's been proven that the tip does not contact the cue ball for long enough for this to make any difference.

These differences are very minimal in most cases though. Plenty of spin can be generated with a tip of any hardness. Find something of good quality that you like, and stick with it. Learn to get more english by making a better stroke, not buying a better tip.

  4. have a soft ferrel put on and use a medium to hard tip,i like lepros the best. thats also what mike massey uses on all his extreme english shots.

  5. I used to use LePro and Triangle. A buddy turned me onto the Tiger Sniper a couple a months ago, I won't be changing back anytime soon. Trickshot is right though , it's all in your stroke.
