Besides the U.S., if you were to open a pool hall or sell pool tables, cues etc., where would you want to be in order to make the most $$$$?

  1. If you are referring to variations of Billiards/Pool, it's played all over the world.  Particularly, it's played in countries that have been colonized by Great Britain or the US (obviously, also formerly under British rule).  Most notable places include but are not specific to: Canada, Ireland, India, Australia, Hong Kong and The Philipines.

Beyond colonization, there are plenty other countries that also actively play:  Thailand, Taiwan, Puerto Rico, Guam, Korea, Germany, Finland, Italy, France, Israel, Mexico, Dubai all boast world class players.  The list goes on and on.

If I were looking to open a business outside the US, I would probably look to Asia, especially Korea or Taiwan.  Pool & Billiards are incredibly popular there.  East Asia is probably the only place where pool can routinely be seen live on television and its players are recognized celebrities.

  2. Probably England. The most poolplayers per capita are probably in the Philippines, but I don't think people there have a lot of money to spend. As long as you stock snooker supplies as well, I'm sure the greatest opportunity to make money would be in the UK.

  3. Probably India or England

can you please answer my questions

  4. Every pub in England but a few has a 8 ball pool table.

Every small/medium town has a snooker club.

Every City has multiple large snooker clubs and large pool halls.

I heard that China has something like 15million snooker players.

  5. Billiards was first played in India by the British and the balls were made from elephant tusks or ivory.  The game then went to England and Europe, then to the United States where, I believe it is the most popular.
