Pool party tips?

i am throwing my party at a public pool its 2 hours long and i need ideas on how ta make it great? (decoration ideas, games, snacks, ect.)

The sun will be shining brightly, so be sure to have sunglasses for all your guests. There are tons of choices but how about sunflower glasses or very cool retro glasses? Complete the pool party outfit with beachcomber or great neon colored bucket hats.

You can’t have a luau party without the limbo.  It’s a true classic

To Play



Clear out an area large enough for all of your guests and of course the limbo stick.  

Play luau music like Jimmy Buffet, reggae, or any steel drum band music to get the party going.

Set up the limbo stick, you can use a bamboo pole available at a hardware store or you can use a broomstick without the broom.  

Have two people hold each end and everyone else gets in a line and once the music starts the games begin.  

Each time the pole gets lower and lower.  

See how low your guests can go! The one who goes the lowest wins.

I would'nt care about games because its a public pool; their will be other kids interfering or distracting the party. Also since its only 2 hours, you will need at least 45 min for snack & dessert time. For decorations, I would get cool stuff from oriental trading. For favors maybe towels & sports bottle & tie it together with a big ribbon.

this fruit salsa is so fabulous people will want it always when they come over..  serve w/the chips on the recipe or cinnamon wheat thins or cinnamon pita chips from trader joes or the grocery store.  i add a small can of crushed pineapple and blueberries also.
