  1. I've never heard one way or the other.  She's 'in a relationship' right now, but whether it's with a man or a woman, I don't know...

Hey Mickey...Interestingly enough, she names that 'hesitation' in her stroke as the best piece of pool advice she's ever received.

  2. Yes, Alison Fisher is a L*****n.  She used to be romantically linked to fellow pro player Gerda Hoffstader.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

P.S. Mickey, a pause at the limit of the backstroke is good form.  It allows for muscle transfer from triceps to biceps and greatly limits the "jerkiness" that comes from that rapid back and forth piston action that so many players have.  It's basic physics that for an object in motion to reverse its direction, it must at some point come to a stop (pause).  Even if it's just for a milisecond, a pause is essential for a good stroke.  Alison's just happens to be a bit more pronounced.  Any sport that involves a ball and a some variation of a stick/club utilizes a pause.  The serve in tennis, the batter (or pitcher) in baseball, the golf swing, etc.  Alison is the poster child for good fundamentals.  She has zero excess movement in her stroke.  Her elbow and her head stay frozen in space.  She stays down on the shot.  Her pefect fundamentals combined with her insane level of natural talent make her the force that she is.

  3. Allison Fisher won her first World Snooker Championships at the age of 17. After an unparalleled snooker career in which she won countless titles and successfully defended her World title all but twice in her 10 years of pro snooker, Allison moved to the United States in 1995 to take a shot at the Women's Professional Billiards Pro 9-Ball tour.

Allison won just the second tour event she played in and has never looked back. Her tournament record compiled in the 7 years since then is unmatched in the history of professional cue-sports among men or women. She has won more 9-Ball tournaments than the total wins of all her pro competitors combined, and over 5 times as many titles as the player with the 2nd most wins in that span.

    - Has won 90% of the 450+ matches played in her 7-year pro 9-Ball career.

    - #1 ranked WPBA points leader and purse winner the past 5 consecutive years

    - All-time tournament purse leader in WPBA history

    - Voted by Billiard's Digest and Pool & Billiard Magazine as

    - Player of the Year for 5 consecutive years

    - Has had more ESPN televised tournament match appearances and match wins than any other player (male or female) in history

    - Has finished in the top 5 in all but 2 of the 80+ pro events she's played in

    - Record setting 8 consecutive tournament wins in 96' and 97'

    - Finished 1st or 2nd in a streak of 20+ consecutive pro events spanning from 1998 to 2000

    - 36 WPBA Tour Titles

    - 4 WPA 9-Ball World Championship Titles

    - 3 ESPN Ultimate 9-Ball Titles

    - 6 WPBA National Championships and U.S. Open Titles

  4. No, but the fourth ranked player , Monica Webb is.

  5. Just a great bio from Divya K. But you didn't answer the question. Yes, Alison is a L*****n. But so are 90% of the other females. Starlite Cafe & Billiards had a poster with 33-female pro players and 24 are g*y. So what?

I know I'm gonna catch flack for this but... they make the best pool players.

  6. I don't think it matters if Allison is g*y or not. Johnny I don't get the pitcher from the windup thing?Whats that all about?

  7. What "Divya K" answered is all you need to know about her....do not care either way if she is or not......love her game and cannot for the life of me see how she pauses on her back stroke on the last stroke before hitting the cue ball and do as well as she does.

  8. i don't know but she kicks *** in pool.

  9. IS --WAS ?? Pause is the aim all the rest are getting set-Would a Pitcher  Throw from his wind up or not its not really a pause its the stroke shot watch close.

                                                                  Later Johnny
