Pool problems??

ok well i just opened my pool about 2-3 weeks ago and my mom put chemicals in it and everything BUT it's still green!!! It was blue one day and then it went back to green and i dont kno what the deal is!? Can someone help me?? Thanx

If it went blue then back to green then the pool didnt have enough chlorine. You need to bring the pool to "shock" level (depends on your CYA but at least 11ppm) with either granular (cal-hypo) chlorine or bleach. Then you need to maintain this level until the pool clears. During the time pump should be on 24hrs/day so the filter can do its job. Vaccum as often as possible and brush daily. Make sure to watch the filter's pressure gauge so you know when to backwash.

Green is usually algae. Perhaps the chemicals were not what you needed. Take a sample of the water into the pool shop and they can test it on site instantly and tell you what chemicals you need.
