Pool table diamonds?

i recently bought a pool table at a yard sale and it dosent have diamonds im not sure of the length looks like a standard pool table does anybody know where the diamonds go??

There are 3 diamonds between each set of pockets in equal increments. The difficulty is that there are diamonds you can't see, one in each of the side pockets and two in each of the corner pockets, which mark the endpoints of the increments so you know where to start measuring from. You can look at the pictures in the reference to see what I'm talking about. In the corner pocket, the diamonds are on the line equal with nose of the cushion.

Another way to do it is to measure your table between the noses of the cushions and just divide it by 4 for the short rail and by 8 for the long rail to find out the spacing between the diamonds. (Both of these should give the same answer)

Tim is right -It sounds like you bought an english table some of theirs dont have diamonds
