Pool table?!?

Question

i have to build a pool table for a school project and it doesnt matter what the size is....im going to make a small pool table and does anyone know what the accurate dimensions are for a small pool table?

The playing surface (area between the front edge of the cushions) just needs to be twice as long as it is wide.  You can scale it however you want for whatever size table you're comfortable building.  For reference, typical tournament-sized pool tables have playing surfaces of 50x100 inches.
