I just put some algae killer in my pool yesterday and now my water is really nasty. I've had to skim it about 3 times today alone. I just put more shock treatment in it today.

  1. Aglae is nasty!  You have effectively killed the algae and now you need to get all the dead algae out of the water.  Keep skimming and cleaning the filters and it will clear up.

  2. put more clorine in it. no matter how much algae the clorine will kill it. the clorine lvl. may be high but you can still go in your pool just dont put your head under water.

  3. If the pool is still green then all the algae is not dead. You need to shock it (at least 11ppm) and keep it at that level until all the algae is dead. You need to brush daily and vacuum often. Get your pH down to 7.2-7.4. Chlorine is much more effective at this level. Keep your filter running 24hrs/day but make sure you clean it often.

  4. Are you opening the pool?  If so then this is why. My parents just went through that whole process again. Keep trying.

Do you have a testing kit?

  5. How about starting from scratch? Empty the pool, clean it  and do it again.
