Poole’s Tuesday card includes two A1 heats - Preview
Poole’s Tuesday card is sponsored by Poole Greyhound Owners & Trainers Association (P.G.O.T.A). It includes many fascinating competitions, but a couple of 450 metres A1 heats will be highlight of the day.
The first A1 clash is scheduled to begin at 21:37 GMT. Among the entries are: Best Rocket, Grazeley Magpie, Castlehill Nani, Glenfort Lee, Trumpers Kerr and Caloona Pirate.
Although the abovementioned line-up has some powerful runners, Best Rocket seems to have the highest chances of winning. The black dog is sizzling hot at the moment. However, one thing that might worry his supporters is luck, which is not on his side these
days.
Out of his last four races, the J. Harvey-trained ended up runner-up thrice. His last triumph came at the start of this month, when he beat Jackbound by a head distance to win a 450 metres heat.
Although the things have not been going to the plan, Hallas Rocket’s son is expected to dominate. Standing in the winner’s podium, Grazeley Magpie is likely to do well after her recent victory.
Trumpers Kerr cannot be rated highly against this line-up, as he has been inconsistent over the last few weeks. On the other hand, Castlehill Nani has a great chance, but the black dog will have to be at his best to do something special.
The second and final A1 heat is due to get underway at 22:07 GMT. The £94 event has attracted following hounds: Fagans Belle, Nobooth For Dodo, Mallogs Amy, Smart Account, Ballymac Fred and Dish When Cold.
Mallogs Amy looks in good shape to outplay her rivals in this combat. Out of her last three races, the black and white b***h tasted success twice. In her most recent outing, she sealed top slot by staggering eight and a half lengths.
Smart Account has a taste for success and he should not let his fans down. Today’s meeting will not be an easy outing for Ballymac Fred, as he needs to respond to grader's pressure.
Fagans Belle is likely to enjoy decent odds. Despite the fact that she completed the order of finish in both of her previous races, the bookmakers are giving her some respect.
