Poonam Pandey says her offer only valid for Indian team
Indian Kingfisher model, Poonam Pandey, has finally come out of hiding and spoken to media for the first time after India's success in the recently concluded ICC World Cup 2011.
The 20-year old Pandey had said before the final of the event that she would shed her clothes in front of the Indian cricket team if they won the World Cup.
However, after the Indian team won, Poonam went underground.
She stated that she got calls from everywhere around the world but she was not attending any calls and emails as she was threatened that if she tried to visit the stadium for the grand finale, she will have to pay a heavy price.
She said that although she was getting calls, she received some threatening calls, which actually made her scared. She exclaimed, “Some were offering me work, while some were threatening me. They said, ‘If you go to the stadium, see what we will do. We
will not let you reach there”.
She said that despite being scared and worried, she is still confident on her commitment and she will definitely get nude, as soon as she gets official permission from the Board of Control for Cricket in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 (BCCI).
Poonam promised that by doing such an act, she will not violate any law like other people, she will wait for official permission by the Indian board, only then she will strip for the victorious Indian team, who won the World Cup 2011 championship on April
2, 2011.
The Indian model exclaimed that she is aware of the fact that many people are offended by her stripping for the Indian cricket team, but she said that many other contacted her and saluted her for such a bold and gutsy commitment.
She said that people are proud of her for her enthusiasm for cricket and passion for the nation’s pride.
Poonam said that after her announcement, she has become very popular. Many magazines are asking for her to pose for their front page. She added that she has been offered numerous commercials.
Many television people are also looking forward to work with this bold and enthusiastic model. However, Poonam said that she has refused all of them as her commitment is only for the Indian cricket team.
