  1. Where do you get the 'World Champions of sport' tag?

Look, we,as a nation love our sport, and we get behind our sportsmen and back them until the final whistle. Just like any sports fan of any country in the world.

We dont moan when we lose, unlike our antipodean friends. We celebrate like crazy when we win. Winning, when it happens, is made so much sweeter knowing that knobheads like you are rooting for us to fail.

What are you? Scottish? Australian? If you are anything but South African then you havent exactly had a triumphant weekend yourself have you? Unless you won the tiddlywinks or something.

  2. As a Welsh supporter I am able to applaud the efforts of the England team in reaching the WC final.  But my enthusiasm to be sporting has been dissolved by the media's un-objective reporting on 'wonderful' England.  The BBC is the British Broadcasting Corporation, the newspapers are sent countrywide - this is where the rest of us get a tad weary, that the England team (whatever sport) are built-up to be world-beaters and then knocked down if they lose.  I respect the talents and skills of Mr. Wilkinson, Mr. Gerrard and Mr. Flintoff but don't think I want to read what they had for breakfast, what their respective teachers at primary school think about them or why they should join history's 'great' players.  Goodness knows we have enough problems with Welsh rugby, so I'm a fine one to talk, but instead of providing a dispassionate, objective view of how to improve English sporting performance we are subject to a pendulum between 'great' and 'woeful' that does not allow for sensible, supportive growth.  Until this happens, then any 'World Champion' status will be fluke-like not the norm.

  3. When have we ever referred to ourselves as the world champions of sport?

  4. You're obviously not an English sports fan, or if you are you re one of the thousands of knockers who support a team when they're winning then crucify them when they lose.  I follow Scotland in most sports, but never criticise them even when they do badly.  But I cannot understand the mentality of people that knock their own country.  And for the record, I was willing England to win at rugby, even though I don't have much respect for their footballers who never seem to give their all.  That aside, I think that the booing from certain parts of the crowd following England and directed at some of their players is a disgrace, would you have been one of these?

  5. No

    Great isn't it

  6. Why do you portray England as "World Champions of sport"?

Having English sportsmen compete consistently at the highest level, is certainly a source of pride to the nation, as it would be to any other nation.

Denigrating the gallant loser in any sport is completely unsportsmanlike, and a little childish.

I suspect you haven't won much!

  7. ...but everyone cheats poor old England. Everybody is horrible to the English and it's soooooooooo wrong. I mean they invented all those sports...oh yes, and concentration camps during the Boer War.

  8. Grow up, moron.

If you want to discuss Rugby, fine, otherwise run off & finish your homework.
