Poor Premier League form leaves Arsene Wenger wary of Arsenal’s automatic UEFA Champions League qualification
Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has gone on to express his concerns after the Gunners went on to lose by two goals to one, at the hands of Aston Villa this past weekend. Following this defeat, Manchester City now possess a giant advantage in their race to
finish third in the Premier League standings, at the end of the season.
Had Arsenal won the game against Villa, they would have been within one point of second place, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786. However, as it stands City currently have a game in hand, which if won, would see them go one up on Arsenal and sit in the third spot in the League.
The third spot in the league is currently all that is left to play for both Arsenal and City, since whichever team of the two finishes there would seal a spot in next seasons Champions League, while the fourth placed team would have to go through a qualification
tie to make the cut.
Following three defeats in their last four Premier League games, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 have now gone from being in potential contention to somehow win the Premier league, to being nowhere near the perch at the top of the table.

One man who was highly disappointed with the team’s recent performances was Arsene Wenger, who has gone on to admit to his frustration.
The manager is quoted to have said: "Of course we are frustrated"
"We dropped three points today that could cost us automatic qualification for the Champions League. It will be a big setback to finish fourth.”
The Frenchman then stated that the reason for this bad form, was the poor series of results that the team has gone on to produce.
He then went on to add: "We have been hit hard recently by bad performance and results. You can see we suffered at the start today but we have to rise above that. We were nervous defensively."
It is easy to see where the manager is going with his comments, but at the end of the day, the manager needs to take some responsibility for his team’s poor performance. Time and time again Arsenal have looked like they are going to finally go on and win
big, but then manage to crumble under the burden of the pressure that is placed on their shoulders.
Should Arsenal fail to end in the third spot in the league at the end of the season, it would just mark that the time to make changes to the team and management is now or never.
The Arsenal fans have been sitting around waiting for something to happen for far too long and for the support that they have shown throughout the years, it is high time that the board takes some bold decisions regarding the teams future.
