  1. JUST got sacked?  I'd say he was TOTALLY sacked!

Putting aside the pitiful word play ...What a shame really.  Yeah I can sledge but I do think it's a shame.  Who guides these guys through life at the weagles?  The older players?  In which case, who's guiding the younger weagle players?  Cousins and Chick?

  2. Daniel Chick will be given his marching orders as well. WCE are in panic mode and wouldn't have a clue on how to run a tight ship. You would possibly find that most of those bronzed, bulked up players are going to have a few sleepless nights wondering when they will get the tap on the shoulder.

  3. He just needs professional help and not just for a few weeks.

Give him a few Months a rehab and let him get on with his life as someone who doesn't need drugs to get by.

The Eagles had no choice in giving him the sack, and neither did the AFL.

  4. You live by the sword and you will die by the sword.

Cousins fell on his own sword.

  5. West Coast did the only thing they could - sack him.  The conditions of Ben's contract were that he stay away from drugs and stay out of trouble with the Police and he's violated that.  I believe WC management has looked the other way with Ben (and others) for far too long and I applaud them for taking this decision.

Any Ben Cousins' fan should agree with the Club's decision as well, as he is not going to get any better in the limelight.  Far better for him to have some privacy and obscurity (if possible) to try and recover.  Also, I believe he will have a better chance of overcoming his problems if he's not surrounded constantly by adoring fans and girls who are only interested in him because he's a football star.  If he's just Ben, some bloke from Perth, he's got a better chance.

Any WCE club supporter should also support the Club's decision - Ben, and other players, have made them look shifty and underhand.  Having the biggest troublemaker removed from the Club goes some way to restoring the Club's reputation.

I feel very sorry for his family who have had to watch him continuously ruin his life and every chance given to him.  What a waste of a great football talent.

  6. He had it comeing, he had to be sacked he puts a bad name on our great game of AFL, Chick was told weeks ago that he was going

  7. A fool is a fool and its time that action was taken and in no uncertain terms has been seen to have been taken. All right these drug takers start off with the first try of a substance but then it eventually takes over but long before that point the person has the choice of taking responsibility for his life style Cousins has blown it and the sooner we all forget about him the better for Aussie rules in general

  8. West Coast had to do it, otherwise the AFL would have forced W.C to sack Ben. I don't feel sorry for Ben, but I do know what he is going thru. I have seen this happen to my best mate, and now suffers from deppression.
