Question:

Poor management or slip of the tongue?

During the democratic You Tube debates Clinton stated she has been working on a withdrawal plan to get our troops out of Iraq for several months. Last week she made a public issue over a letter she received from the Pentagon responding to her request to determine if the Pentagon had a withdrawal plan. Shouldn't she have checked with the Pentagon first rather than working two or three months on something that might have already been done? Every meeting, conference, or briefing containing sensitive or classified information is started and ended with warnings about the release of information; the Pentagon was right in their warning, she was wrong to use public media to berate a public employee for doing his job! Was her You Tube comments a slip or checking with the Pentagon three months late poor project management?

  1. The pentagon could have given her a general idea without giving out any sensitive info. However, everything in the Bush-Cheney administration is always shrouded in secrecy.

  2. she is full of sh-t and a liar so it doesn't matter

  3. She is trying to use National security as a political tool.  Clinton is a danger to National Security.

  4. It would have helped to understand the issue if we could have seen both letters; not just extracts of the Pentagon letter. It is easy to criticize if you control and can manipulate the facts. We can only take her word for what she wrote in her request. She should have checked with those responsible for preparing a plan before she went to the trouble of working up her plan; it would have saved her time and a lot of bad feelings. It is difficult to accept the fact a person in her position would publicly criticize a federal employee over such a trivial matter!
