Poor weight gain in my daughter?

Question

My daughter has never been great with her weight gain but has usually just managed to keep our health nurse happy. However, in the last three weeks she has only put on 15gms. SHe is 6 months 2 weeks.

I'm not overly concerned as she is otherwise quite happy but would like to know if anyone else had this problem and whether it ended up being something.

Any info, suggestions etc would be great.

My brother-in-law had the same problem. Unfortunately, they put his daughter on failure to thrive. So, he had state people coming into his house and evaluating them like they were doing something wrong. It was horrible for him and his wife. She too was a very happy baby and didn't seem like anything was wrong just very tiny. She is 3 now and is still very tiny, but still very normal 3 yr old. It stressed his wife out for a long time. Just recently has she started to realize that her daughter is the way God made her and she's fine. Don't stress about it too much if she is developmentally on track, she may just be tiny.
