What are the odds on getting hit by a tram? How could you not see it coming? I feel really sorry for him and his family. I do hope he can make a good recovery, even if he doesn't end up playing again.

  1. Any chance he was just a little pissed? I read a story about him and seems like the doctors think he will have a full recovery.

  2. hope he gets better n can play again. i think wat could hav happened(but probs didnt) was bcoz tram drivers can control the lights, and wen the tram is at the front of the lights, the driver can stop the lights and the tram can go thro while every1 waits, p***k couldve thought it was his turn 2 cross the road but the tram driver stop the lights and went thro n hit him. highly unlikely but i c trams do that everyday wen i get the tram 2 skool.

  3. he is a west australian and they not used to trams. I hope he makes a full recovery and avoids trams in future as they do weigh 58 tonnes

  4. oh Ive been soo waiting for someone to have the balls to say the title of yr question!!

And now that the nation has been told he got outta bed and showered this arvo I can answer guilt free...

(West Aussie or not) Bugger me how do you not see a tram that youve lived out front of for a year, yes how did the other two not see him wandering in front of it and warn him.... And OMG wat a devestating thing to happen to such an up n comer..

My thoughts are with him and his family and we are so lucky to have great doctors in Australia!

Speedy Recovery, hope to see him out there once again..

  5. I hope he will be ok, He had been home and changed and was on his way to a nite club so he would have been drunk, he should have called a taxi.

  6. Apparently he is hearing commands and processing them as well as reacting appropriately.

The Tigers coaching staff have taken the whole team to the hospital so they can learn from him!!! :-b

  7. Its a freak accident that could have happened to anyone going out on a Sat night.

He was in a hurry to get to the taxi, crossed a very large busy intersection and was so focused on catching the cab and clearing the traffic that he didnt see the tram.  Fortunately his two mates did see the tram and stopped so were able to call paramedics immediately which is what probably saved his life.

My heart goes out to his family and I really hope he makes a full recovery and can come back and play.

Poor Richmond, as if things arent bad enough for them....

  8. I know it's not funny, but I said the same thing; p****k got polaxed!

I do hope he will be alright. My father suffered a serious head injury in an accident and it's very tough, although he was in a worse condition than p****k. My best wishes to p****k and his family, I wish him a speedy recovery.

  9. He should be alright! Fellow team mate Jordan Mcmahon who was with Graham at the time when the tram came and almost gave him his grave said to my cuz(He knows him) that he looked dead over the phone. But Doctors are very pleased with his Progress ans should make a steady recovery!! Thanx!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  10. Yeah poor bugger!!...

I'd like to know how he and 3 others with him didn't see the tram though?..

They are pretty well lit up at night,he must have been looking the other way..

I just read on the news he is out of his drug induce coma, and he also has no wires or things connected to him.he is doing so well they say he 'may' be moved to a normal ward today sometime..

Dr said he is 'very lucky'.The injuries he sustained 'should' have been fatal.

p****k can thank his lucky stars now..Just glad the young kid is going to be OK..

EDIT: Just heard on the 4:40 news he is up and walking and has even had a shower. They spoke to his brother and he said everyone is amazed. He said he is getting better every hour..Great News...

  11. Believe it or not, alcohol was no part in this. Do not say he was drunk, or boozed when you really have no idea, the media simply speculates. They claimed drugs he took for an injury he sustained in the game caused the accident , until the tigers doc cleared this up by confirming he had only taken 2 pandines.

Anyone who knows the intersection where it occured could comprehend how this accident happened - very easy to understand.

Just to clear up one more thing - Hughes, McMahon and p****k had just got out of a taxi and were crossing the road to enter one of their houses.

He is fit, young and has all the care he needs. All the best to him, and please help him out by not making c**p up or believeing everything the media speculates about.

  12. He came from a club function so he wouldn't have been drunk, but he could've had a few to drink. He could've been blindsided and not have seen the tram, it was dark. Very unfortunate accident, wish him a speedy recovery

  13. Yeah, poor bloke.

I've just read Humphrey's update. I'm glad to hear he may be OK after all.

People saying he was boozed etc...........I remember what I was like at that age after a game of football. I'm glad there were no trams where I grew up playing.....& hardly any cars for that matter, either.

I just hope he pulls on the boots again.
