  1. Temp will prob last a couple of days, make sure you get it lower than 38.5 as i took my son to drs yesterday as he had a temp and had a previous febrile convulsion, she said fits happen when the temp is consistantly at 38.5 ! good luck! Hope she is feeling better soon! By the way those paracetamol suppositories are good!

  2. My 3 years old had MMR just yesterday he is still fine last time when he had MMR he was ok and had temperature only for one day. I think every child is different and reactions are also different so you don’t need to worry. Just look after your daughter:)

  3. hi hun

i was a nursery manager and so have seen loads of kids with these symptoms. they usually last a day or two. as the doc said keep on with the calpol but if you think she is getting worse i would take her back and try to see a different doc. although the syptoms are all normal and an expected reaction to the mmr trust your maternal instincts, there is a lot to be said for it!!

i was lucky , my lil boy had no reactions at all. but i have seen some kids who really do appear to suffer. hope she is feeling better soon poor little mite good luck x

  4. I'm sure if the doctor said she was fine she is, as long as her rash and other symptoms haven't changed since them. My little one had a temp and red spots with his at 10 days which then lasted a few days, the spots took over a week to go but they were on the back of his neck so he kept scratching, so it is normal to have a reaction.

You saying the spots are purple does concern me a little though, a doctor would need to see them, if she seems worse than when the doc saw her or you don't trust his judgement ring NHS direct or take her to A+E or out of hours docs, you're better safe than sorry when it comes to little ones.

  5. same happend to my bairn...it may be normal BUT why chance it,just ring   NHS Direct on 0845 4647

yes its a short number but thats the one listed...

  6. It's the purple spots Im worried about...have you pressed a glass on them? If not...do it now and if the spots dont go away when you look through the glass which is pressed on her skin...go to the hospital now.
