Pop/Rock song for alto audition!!?

Question

I have a VERY important audition that asks me to sing a pop/rock song that shows off my range. My character is supposed to have a "powerful pop/rock voice." My voice is pretty low for a young girl (i.e. "Big Spender" is great, but the "Hey Big Spender!" is a bit too high for me to hit in my chest voice.) Anyways I have no idea what to sing!! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!! I need it this audition is in nine days!

No, don't sing viva la vida. you will lose. you gotta pick something that gets the 'interviewers' so to speak a giant love bon er for you.

I would go for a classic Aerosmith song or 'Somebody to Love Me' by Queen

OR - Fall Out Boy, 'This aint a scene' Unorthodox, but something that is well known and has all those alto parts that let you kick a*s
