Hi there, i'm thinking of doing some cute pop-up wedding invitations but i'm having trouble finding any templates or examples on the internet.

I've googled and searched but i cant come up with much info, or when i find a rare website, i dont like the design. Does anyone know of a good site at all?

Many thanks

  1. I have to agree with Marie.  My daughter had her heart set on a particular wedding invitation.  Then we went shopping and got the actual price for the invitation and the envelopes and the reply cards and the...and the....and the....

For the approximately 200 invitations we needed, the one she wanted was going to cost more than $1800.  For a heavy piece of paper with a cute design and the words "Come to a wedding at xxxxx Street on xxxxxxxxxx, 2004," which 190 of those 200 people would be throwing out as soon as they had it on their calendar.

You can pick a lovely, much more classic invitation for far less money than a pop-up or other fancy, "gimmicky" invitation.  The money you save here could be spent on something like a bigger wedding album or a room upgrade on your honeymoon - something that will give you memories for a lifetime and make you glad you spent that extra money.

I promise, 6 months after the wedding, there won't be 10 people other than you and your mom who even remember what your invitation looked like.

  2. Martha Stewart had some pop up invitations on her website.  They could be adapted for a wedding - but it did include a template and instructions.

Good luck - I think that will be really cute.

  3. Look in the scrapbooking or card making sections.  Go to Archivers or a scrapbooking store.  This is a fairly popular concept in scrapbooking.  Also, consider checking at DIY network.  I think Carol Duval had something on pop up cards.

  4. There are many ways you can save for your wedding. You can try to do them yourself, if you have the time.

Or you can get it from someone who can provide custom made from companies that provide these services.

And a suggestion here, you might want to check out some wedding favors to complement the whole thing too. You can get nice and reasonably priced wedding favors here..

    Good luck.
