they're brilliant to put up but can take for ever to get them back down

I would not consider them for serious camping but otherwise ok.

In brief, pop up tents tend to be quite poor at resisting the elements, and a pain in the neck to pack away once you're done. Nonetheless, they obviously save you heaps of time putting them up in the first place. I wouldn't buy a cheap one.

A brilliant invention Phil as far as I'm concerned.  Although I still make the Scouts pitch up traditional tents - well that's what Scouting's all about isn't it LOL.  Takes them an hour and 2 mins to do mine !
