What does this mean? What should I do to fix it?

I recently went to an optometrist who said I needed glasses. I am waiting for the Rx to be filled out. What do I do?

  1. its strained most likely

don't use your eyes to focus so much and don't read with out a lot of light. ask your doctor for more info but it should get better.

    maybe ice it?

  2. nothing u can do but let it heal

  3. It should heal on its own, however to be on the safe side I would call my eye doctor.

  4. It will probably just clot and stop by itself but you might want to consult a doctor just in case.

  5. Eyestrain causes those, but so can excessive coughing or sneezing or even throwing up.

They are usually no big deal, although they look bad! Generally they go away on their own.

If it's not looking any better at all in 3-5 days, call the doc. Otherwise, just give it a little more time and it should go away.

  6. It's just like a popped blood vessel anywhere else - you really can't do anything about it. It will clot and heal itself.
